    DJ WHOO KID 的嘻哈版图 10/01/2014 公众人物 I Public Figure, 乐活|LIFESTYLE, 艺动风城 | Jing Ran, 文化艺术|Arts & Entertainment 胳膊上的三个汉字纹身似乎暗示了DJ Whoo Kid与中国的不解之缘。“私欲望”取自他的生名Yves Mondesir,因为Mondesir听起来很像“My Desire”,所以他把代表了自己名字的这三个字纹在了身上。 DJ Whoo Kid几乎每年都会去中国。他去过北京、上海、香港,到这些地方一是做巡演,二是会朋友。上次在香港的时候见了老朋友姚明,他特别开心。他还戏言房祖名是夜店好手,曾带他去过香港最顶级的俱乐部,并赠送他高级的雪茄烟。说起中华美食,Whoo Kid更是滔滔不绝,南方菜、北方菜、辣的、不辣的他都可以细数一番。除此以外,视Wu-Tang Clan(武当帮,纽约著名嘻哈团体)为生命的他难以表达自己对中国武打和功夫片的喜爱,他说“李小龙简直是神一般的存在!” 这位50 Cent的御用DJ其实是嘻哈界的幕后推手。当年,是他发掘了50 Cent并推荐给Eminem,成就了这一位新时代的饶舌天王。Whoo Kid担任著名嘻哈团体G-Unit的厂牌制作人,曾随团一起和50 Cent巡演400多场,为G-Unit的嘻哈帝国打江山立下血汗功劳。 和许多成功的音乐人一样,在实现了音乐梦想之后,DJ Whoo Kid在扩展一张更大的事业版图。他的电台节目“The Whoolywood Shuffle”拥有500多万听众,他作主持,邀请圈内的音乐同仁、圈外朋友和娱乐界的各路名流坐客节目。Whoo Kid说,“做这件事是为了让自己更好地存在,乐迷知道我没有离开,我也可以不断学习和进步。”Whoo Kid现在的时间,三分之一给电台,三分之一给音乐,还有三分之一留给巡演。身兼多重身份,用“忙碌的生意人”来形容他更适合不过。他暗自高兴地告诉我,最近有杂志要为他拍一组有型的照片,所以最近还在忙于体型锻炼和维持身材。 嘻哈音乐总是徘徊在主流和非主流之间,关于嘻哈音乐,人们向来有太多误解。50 Cent有讲不完的有关黑帮和枪杀的故事;Eminem愤怒地讽刺着残酷的现实;庞大冗杂的嘻哈分支里甚至专门有一支“大麻嘻哈”流派;在中国街头的小商铺里可以看到印满脏话的大体恤。在这些凶猛的外表之下,真正的嘻哈精神却常常被掩盖。DJ Whoo Kid认为,嘻哈精神代表的是一种希望,就是无论你在怎样的境遇里,都要有勇气去寻找出口,而嘻哈就是给你这种力量面对新的开始。 在芝加哥南部的黑人贫民窟,不难看到许多表情拽拽的青少年,挂着大耳机,听着饶舌,仿佛一切置身事外。而他们中就有人处在歌词所描述的现实中——家境贫穷,靠领救济过活;没有条件接受良好教育,生活里充斥着语言暴力和家庭暴力。Whoo Kid坦言,自己并非出生于说唱歌词里所描述的乌烟瘴气的贫民窟,但是身边有太多从那样的环境里挣脱出来的人,他说:“你要去创造!就算是徒手,都要用尽自己的能力去创造一种可能!你可以去街头说唱、涂鸦、学做DJ,你可以去端盘子,有的人甚至去贩毒。大家都是为了活下去,但总有那么一些人在想办法创造,努力走出那条路。” 这样的正面能量才是嘻哈音乐最有力的表达,无论你在世界上的哪个地方,都可以从DJ Whoo Kid的音乐里获得这种信心。 了解DJ Whoo Kid更多: http://justwhookid.com http://twitter.com/djwhookid http://instagram.com/justwhookid 特别感谢Flaskingtree公司的Raymond Chin协助本采访。图片由DJ Whoo Kid提供。 (文 Text […]
